Many people are finding by experiencing counselling that it helps deal with underlying issues rooted in - the workplace - relationships - or personal life. Phoenix counsellors have helped many hundreds of clients since our start in 1998. Read more about us.

If you despair or are anxious - lack feelings of self-worth - have suffered loss or other trauma including sexual abuse - suffer from physical symptoms with no clear physical cause - or seek greater self knowledge - have an addiction, job and work stress, or eating disorder, struggle with aggression or anger issues - or perhaps want help in a difficult relationship then this service can help.

Counseling gives:-

 the will to achieve change from ill health to greater self esteem and a sense of wellness - a safe place where you can speak of feelings that worry or frighten you - make sense of recurring problems - challenge tendencies to repeat unhelpful patterns of thought and behaviour. Help seeking new hope or purpose, findig new meaning to life.

The first step is to attend for an initial consultation, or assessment, with a trained counsellor. Presently the standard fee for this is £35 - £50 ( reduced fee work is available in Dagenham ), thereafter fees are set according to your means. Allow up to an hour for this session. At this meeting the aim is for your questions to be answered and you to decide whether to receive counselling, either for a fixed number of sessions or ongoing. Individual therapy is usually once weekly, meeting for 50 minutes. Whatever you discuss and say to your counsellor is strictly confidential, the counsellor will explain to you at the outset our code of practice in this regard.
